The Wita®Knabb mowing protection cuff protects the bark surface from mechanical damage, e.g. from string trimmers, lawn mowers or rodents.
The Wita®Knabb mowing protector can be adjusted easily to the diameter of the tree being protected by attaching the two flaps to the ventilation slit flaps. A collar can be used for trees with a diameter of up to approx. 10 cm. Practical tip - Example for bare-root forest plants: 800 g of Witalgin are stirred into 100 l of water. The wash will treat between 500 and 2,000 bare-root plants. This small effort will promote the plants' taking root considerably!
Mixing:
Quantities up to 100 litres of the solution can be mixed by hand. We recommend using a mechanical stirring device for quantities exceeding 100 litres.
Mixing by hand:
Fill water quantity needed in container made of plastic. Swirl water, add Witalgin powder slowly and consistently to the swirled water while stirring well and continue to stir for several minutes. Let mixture rest for two hours. This allows clots that may have formed to dissolve. Then stir well again.
Mechanical mixing:
When using an electrically driven stirring device with an impeller, the Witalgin solution is ready-to-use immediately. Please use stirring devices according to the respective user instructions. Note:
Do not use galvanised buckets or other such vessels to stir or store the solution. Use Witalgin solution within three days from preparation. The use of synthetic wetting and dispersion agents is not recommended.

To coat various trapping systems with glue (e.g. glue panels or Delta Traps), nettings, tree bark (glue rings to catch, e.g., chestnut leaf miner moth), or to spray buds.
The advantage of this glue over others is that Soveurode Special Glue covers the insects caught and, therefore, the surface remains sticky.

Remains sticky for a very long period despite moisture, high or low temperatures. Excellent for use in the open air as well as in greenhouses.
Stays effective up to one year. When surfaces that were coated with glue are fully covered with insects, effectiveness declines. Clean surfaces with spatula (scrape off) and newly coat them with glue.
Practical Tip
Use Soveurode Special Glue to control winter moth (Operophtera brumata) The brownish-grey female winter moths are flightless. They crawl from the ground up the trunks of their host trees with their six, strong legs where they mate and lay eggs in bark crevices. The eggs overwinter in the crevices. Larvae hatch in spring when the leaves sprout, i.e. from March to May depending on local climate conditions. As the females are very limited in their spatial range and the flying males cannot carry them, their control is very simple: Spray Soveurode Special Glue ring-like around the tree you would like to protect. The females stick to the glue, no mating will take place.
