Description

Product information "GroWit watering bag 100 liters"

GroWit® watering bag – reliably supplies plants with water

The GroWit® watering bag is a simple and efficient solution for reliably supplying young trees and standard trees with water. With a capacity of approx. 80-90 liters, the bag allows for deep watering of plants – ideal during dry periods and for newly planted trees. Thanks to its special material properties, the bag releases the water slowly and evenly over approx. 18-24 hours (depending on the fill volume) directly to the tree, without any unused water running off.

  • Shipping unit: 1 pc.
    (16 pcs./carton)
  • Depending on the trunk diameter, the capacity is approx. 80–90 liters.
  • Suitable for trees with a diameter of up to 25 cm – for thicker trunk circumferences, several bags can be connected together
  • Water is released in a controlled and sustainable manner
  • Also suitable for nutrient solution and liquid fertilizer delivery
  • Watering bag is resistant to weather influences
  • Material: PVC (Polyvinylchlorid)
  • Color: green

Application: Place the watering bag around the trunk or a stake, close it with the zipper, and then fill it with water through the top opening. It is particularly suitable for newly planted trees, street trees, young plants, and standard trees, which require regular and deep watering during their first few years.

For young trees with small root balls, the watering bag should be placed directly against the trunk, as the roots do not yet extend far into the surrounding soil. When using the bag directly against the trunk, it is important to remove the GroWit watering bag in the fall so that the trunk and root collar can breathe.

If the trees are already well-established and have developed a sufficient root system, the watering bag can also be attached to a stake. Changing the position prevents one-sided root growth. If there are multiple support stakes, several watering bags can be attached as needed. If there is no support stake, simply drive a sturdy stake (e.g., an acacia stake) into the ground next to the tree.

When using the watering bag with shrubs, a stake is generally required to secure it. Drive the stake into the ground immediately next to the shrub and attach the watering bag to it so that it faces the shrub. The distance should be chosen so that the watering bag can be positioned comfortably between the stake and the shrub.
