Horse chestnut leaf miner
Horse chestnut leaf miner trapping strips and Delta traps with the pheromone (attractant) Camerariawit reduce the infestation.
Proven method against female and male moths
After hatching (start of swarming from around mid-April), the chestnut leaf miner moths first fly up and down the trunk - depending on the time of day. Only then do the moths fly into the crown of the tree and lay their eggs on the upper side of the leaves. This is why the new trapping strip was designed as a double flight barrier. Trials have clearly shown that the chestnut leaf miner trapping strips remove a considerable number of moths and lead to less leaf infestation and less brown colouring of the chestnut trees in summer.
Flight time: moth flight begins in mid/end April (depending on altitude)

Camerariawit - chestnut leaf miner moth (Cameraria ohridella)
Pheromone to attract the chestnut leaf miner moth (Cameraria ohridella) Pheromone primarily attracts the males. In combination with glue traps (Chestnut Leaf Miner Moth Trap Sheets, Delta Trap, glue panels, glue rings, etc.), they are deleted from the population development. As a consequence, egg laying is affected and moth intensity reduced. shipping unit: 1 piece attracting insects on the chestnut: chestnut leaf miner moth (Cameraria ohridella) pheromone type: stubble effective: approx. 6 to 8 weeks**depending on weather conditions tip: Now also available as complete set incl. Soveurode Special Glue – Spray Glue
Spray glue to coat colour panels, Chestnut Leaf Miner Moth Trap Sheets, Delta Traps, glue rings, insect nettings, and much more Shipping unit: 1 can with 750 ml To coat various trapping systems with glue (e.g. glue panels or Delta Traps), nettings, tree bark (glue rings to catch, e.g., chestnut leaf miner moth), or to spray buds. The advantage of this glue over others is that Soveurode Special Glue covers the insects caught and, therefore, the surface remains sticky. quantity needed: can coats 4 to 6.5 m² with glue weatherproof, excellent catch results Remains sticky for a very long period despite moisture, high or low temperatures. Excellent for use in the open air as well as in greenhouses. Stays effective up to one year. When surfaces that were coated with glue are fully covered with insects, effectiveness declines. Clean surfaces with spatula (scrape off) and newly coat them with glue. Practical TipUse Soveurode Special Glue to control winter moth (Operophtera brumata) The brownish-grey female winter moths are flightless. They crawl from the ground up the trunks of their host trees with their six, strong legs where they mate and lay eggs in bark crevices. The eggs overwinter in the crevices. Larvae hatch in spring when the leaves sprout, i.e. from March to May depending on local climate conditions. As the females are very limited in their spatial range and the flying males cannot carry them, their control is very simple: Spray Soveurode Special Glue ring-like around the tree you would like to protect. The females stick to the glue, no mating will take place.Time of application: October to December (during the mating season)

WitaTrap® Complete Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner Moth Trap Set
WitaTrap® Complete Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner Moth Trap Set Biological attractant trap (pheromone trap) for the management of pest infestation of your cultivars. One trap set consisting of:- 1 trap body (WitaTrap® Delta Super Trap),- 2 adhesive bases (separately packaged!),- 2 pheromone capsules (separately packaged!),- 1 suspension wire for mounting- detailed instructions for use. Biology of the pest:Pest: horse chestnut leaf miner mothScientific name: Cameraria ohridellaInfests: chestnut trees, mainly the leaves of the white-flowering horse chestnut Main symptoms of infestation: When the buds emerge in mid-May, the first light brown spots appear on leaves. These spots rapidly become enlarged Main flight periods of generations: late April to August (theoretically, this can continue to October) Use:Assemble the trap and hang it using the suspension wire provided from a branch or post positioned near the tree. (See other side for assembly instructions) Depending on size, it is advisable to use 1 - 3 traps per tree (as a rule of thumb, use one trap for each 30 cm trunk circumference)Hang traps at eye level between the main wind direction and the tree. Make sure the trap entrances are not blocked by twigs and leaves. Each trap should be checked at regular intervals of 2 - 3 days. Each time a trap is checked, the insects sticking to the adhesive base should be removed using a suitable tool (e.g. twig or wooden scraper) to ensure that the full glue surface is revealed. If the base becomes very soiled, replace it or spray with a liquid glue, such as Soveurode special glue.Replace the attractant capsule and the adhesive base if necessary roughly every 4 - 6 weeks. *Traps should be put in place before the flight phase of the adults. For more information on the insect pest and application, see the enclosed product description.
