- Coniferous woods require a larger growing space in the tree protectors than deciduous woods. For that reason, only the smaller heights of closed tree shelters are suitable for conifers.
- The advantage of tree protector tubes is that there is only a slight difference between temperature and climate inside and outside the tube. This makes them especially suitable for conifers, but also for deciduous woods. In particular, beeches, the most typical representative of deciduous woods, grow best, when protector tubes are used. This is one outstanding characteristic of protector tubes: they promote plant growth. It is essential that tree protector tubes are highly translucent; otherwise leaf diseases, bark damage and gooseneck growth damage can occur. Our products “WitaPlant”, “WitaTube”, “TubZipp” and “Wino” are designed to specifically address the plants’ needs, guarantee best growth and prevent damage.
- All products are environmentally neutral and do not pollute the environment when they decompose. They have a break line which allows the plant to burst the protector when the trunk becomes too thick for it. Heights available are: (0.6 m), 1.2 m to 1.8 m depending on product and protection required. Most of our protector tubes are also available in very inexpensive tube rolls (100 m long). These allow you to determine the height of the protector individually by simply cutting the tubes to the desired lengths.
- The smaller sizes are also ideally suitable for vine protection.
