• Originally designed for the MultiWit Bark Beetle Slit Trap it can also be used with all other types of slit traps (e.g. Theysohn ...). Utilisation as individual trap and also as three traps stand in a star-like arrangement possible.
• Suitable for the catch of all the bark beetle species (e.g. European spruce bark beetle - Ips typographus, six-toothed spruce bark beetle - Pityogenes chalcographus ...)

The use with a liquid is the most appropriate to the bark beetle mass trapping! The trap-tub has got to be filled with water and salt (-> AntiSmell Catch Salt) to provide constant and very good mass trapping results. The following factors increase the catch results and reduce the amount of work:

• No chemical messengers: The beetles are quickly killed in the special water-salt solution, they are no longer able to send chemical messengers to distract the other beetles - a permanent approach of the beetles into the trap is assured.
• No decay smell: With the usual trap systems, the smell of dead beetles overlays the pheromone effect. A weekly inspection and emptying of the container by dry use is for this reason absolutely necessary. By the use with liquid, the water-salt solution neutralizes the decay smell and the effect of the pheromone stays unreduced. Also the catch results remain at a high level and the inspections are only necessary about 2-5 times per season, depending on the flight intensity and duration.
• Concentrated catch liquid: In the MultiWit Bark Beetle Trap-Tub, a specially designed rain gutter leads undesirable rainwater away, so that the catch liquid maintains its eff ective concentration. But if the amount of water is too high, it will be drained through an additional issue in the middle of the tub.
